What Else Events Ltd, the award-winning scale-up events business, is committed to delivering truly accessible, affordable, and sustainable events for members of the business community to learn, network, and procure together.

Due to the rapid expansion of the business, we are seeking an established Sales/Commercial Manager or ambitious Senior Sales Executive to join our growing team.

Our mission is to launch several events in three to four markets over the next few years and this is an exciting opportunity for an engaged individual to join at the beginning and be a part of the company growth. The role is based in our central Redhill offices a minimum 4 days per week, with opportunity for hybrid working, and requires both national and international travel.

The role will equally suit an established Event Manager seeking to escape a restrictive corporate environment, a talented Sales Manager seeking recognition and reward or indeed an ambitious Senior Sales Executive looking for career progression.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Achieve sales targets by generating revenue from new and existing exhibitors as well as upselling/cross selling sponsorship opportunities. 
• Win new business from inbound marketing qualified leads, competitor shows and sourcing your own leads.
• Ensure maximum client retention by achieving rebook targets onsite at own events and by delivering excellent customer service year-round including by maintaining regular contact (via face-to-face meetings, video calls, phone calls, and/or emails), acting as their first point of contact, responding to their queries, and keeping them informed of developments/opportunities on both events.
• Ensure the CRM is accurately maintained at all times including customer information, call notes, as well as pipeline management and forecasting.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working on B2B events, ideally trade shows. 
• Work to targets and achieve KPI’s 50 calls / 1h call time per day
• Thrives in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, ambitious environment
• Ability to travel to competitor events both UK and International as required
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Energy and enthusiasm to drive commercial success 
• Commercially minded being able to implement initiatives identified
• Experience of HubSpot CRM desirable

To play a key role in the marketing function across the What Else Events portfolio, including existing events, event launches and the What Else Events brand.

This role would suit an experienced Marketing Executive with an entrepreneurial mindset looking to develop their career, or a Marketing Manager looking for a new challenge in an ambitious, growing business. The successful candidate will need to take the initiative to take manage and execute marketing plans, with support from the Head of Marketing.

• Manage the delivery of end-to-end marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, engage audiences, and maximise retention to primarily grow existing events, with additional support for new launches as required.
• Manage end-to-end campaign execution, including planning, copy and creative production, implementation and performance tracking for existing events.
• Leverage various marketing channels, predominantly email marketing, social media, paid advertising, content marketing and partnerships to reach and engage target audiences.
• Create exprom, visprom, conversion and exhibitor news emails.
• Manage social media activity, including content creation, scheduling, and audience engagement.
• Create diverse content (videography, photography, graphics and other visual media) and engage in live marketing content creation during events.
• Co-ordinate design, produce and distribute of promotional materials and adverts.
• Support with development of print-ready show guide for each event.
• Ensure the website is up-to-date with logos, speakers details and general event content as it becomes available and changed over after each event.
• Write clear, concise copy for all forms of marketing communications.
• Work with Head of Marketing to support delivery of partner marketing initiatives across a range of owned and partner      marketing channels.
• Researching competitor and market trends and report to Head of Marketing.
• Process and manage data within CRM and email marketing platforms.
• Support research and insight projects related to customer experience or brand development/enhancement including post-event surveys, certificates and registration forms.
• Develop on-site marketing assets including on-site print/digital graphics, digital screens and other branded assets.
• Work on-site at events carrying out various duties where required.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and best practices.

Qualification/Experience

• Have a minimum of two years’ experience in events marketing
• GCSE or equivalent – English and Mathematics at grade B/7 or above
• Level 4 or above business or marketing qualification or above (preferred)
